Local Technology Firm Reveals New Insights into Why Post Merger Integration of IT Teams Often Fail

Oakbrook Terrace, IL, April 29, 2008 — Geneca, a Chicago based custom software development company, will host a panel of technology leaders  to demonstrate new thinking on why some newly combined I.T. teams quickly rally and others fail.  Titled I.T. Post Merger Integration: What Due Diligence Won’t Tell, the workshop will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2008, from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Metropolitan Club in Chicago. Breakfast will be served and there is no cost for this event.

This event will provide ideas on how to quickly transform newly combined teams into a more aligned, predictable post merger operation. Topics that will be covered are aligning business success criteria across teams, developing common metrics for the combined teams, closing the gap between roles and responsibilities between teams, and identifying whether a single methodology across both teams is necessary.
