Geneca VP Moderates Panel at the Chicago Project Summit & Business Analyst World Conference
Discussion on Communicating with Senior Management Benefits Project Managers and Business Analysts of All Levels
Oakbrook Terrace, IL, 11/14/2006 -- Geneca Vice President of Marketing, Ken Florian, will moderate a panel of peers on the topic of improving communication with senior executives at the upcoming “Project Summit/Business Analyst World” Conference. This event will be held November 13-16, 2006, at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel, in Rosemont, Illinois.
For years Business Analysts and Project Managers have been challenged by communications between Senior Management and the Project Team. While the role of senior managers should be one of vision, change and challenge, they need to rely on the delivery team – particularly Projects Managers and Business Analysts – to keep them informed about the value and “condition” of the project. This panel examines the inherent communication gap between management and the project team, how to determine if there is a problem, and how to fix it. Topics covered include:
- Identifying the most difficult communication topics and when they are likely to occur
- Managing expectations
- Mitigating stakeholder conflicts
- Easy to learn and use communications techniques
The panel session is targeted to Project Managers and Business Analysts of all levels who want to improve their communication style and ability to influence executive support for their projects.
