Geneca Ranks #6 in The Chicago Tribune Top 100 Workplaces

Posted by Geneca - 15 November, 2012

Oakbrook Terrace, IL, November 16, 2012 – Geneca is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of The Chicago Tribune Top 100 Workplaces, ranking #6 in the Small Business Category (100-250 employees).  Geneca is a highly regarded custom software development firm that works closely with many Chicago area organizations on leveraging technology to address business issues and stay competitive.

The Top Workplaces are determined solely on employee feedback. The survey was conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement.

“One of the many things that play an important role in the workplace recognitions we receive is communicating what our culture stands for,” states Geneca CEO, Joel Basgall. “No matter what your role in the company, Genecians understand our mission is to make our clients and ourselves wildly successful. This isn’t always easy – particularly as we continue to grow and hire.

“The other challenge, of course, is keeping Genecians engaged in sustaining the culture.  Our goal is to make sure every Genecian is in a role that leverages their talents and passions so they’re doing what they love to do every day. I’m really pleased that our efforts in this area are working for us.”

The Chicago Tribune published the complete list of Top Workplaces on Tuesday, November 13th . For more information about the Top Workplaces lists and WorkplaceDynamics, please visit
